![]() ![]() ![]() But I thought back to BTD4 and the time I spent playing it online, BTD5 and the free things you could unlock with monkey money (Double Cash, Healthy Bananas, Larger Radius, etc). I didn't need to, I could have spent much more time slowly grinding through slightly easier levels that had a better chance of success. I personally just bought it last night to help grind out some impobbable for the 4th of July event. Champions, their skins, tickets to enter events, and so on. I see it more as a way to support the developers for all the things they have in the game that aren't DLC. Originally posted by Arxie:It's pretty well where it is. I can pay for either of those to win medals easier and of faster. It gives you advantage to earn medals faster and or easier.Ĭhimps is one of many game modes, i can pay to unlock it on a map faster and or easier by using insta monkey loot crate or double cash. I never said buying anything gives you medals. No need to have pvp in game for in game advantage. WIth that logic, any game you have to buy to even play is p2w then. i can pay for double cash in order to aid my earning medals on maps, or "winning" them. Originally posted by CoopaTroopa:i can buy double cash mode to win games easier, earn an advantage not everyone else has access to. Geez, people these days have no clue what p2w is, all new age kids just think everything that offers something for real money is p2w. It would have been p2w if it had pvp and worked in pvp mode aswell as it would give you an advantage against the other players who doesnt have it. This only impacts single player and doesnt work in chimps either, it doesnt give you any advantage at all in coop and as i said earlier, no pvp mode.Īnd it doesnt give you medals either, you can get all medals for free, for no cost and so on.Īnd as it doesnt work in chimps either, its completly useless, its the one difficulty you cant cheat with double cash :) i can buy double cash mode to win games easier, earn an advantage not everyone else has access to. On the other hand, it would be p2w if it had pvp, just like btd battles. ![]() Originally posted by Shiroe (Cortana):necro just to say its p2w?Īnd also, when its a single player/coop mode game only and no pvp involved then its certainly isnt p2w. ![]() It’s not something I can say here and spread a rumour without any reliable evidence beforehand. This might change in the future, it might not. And as for co-op, it was pretty much made clear that as for right now, 2x cash was disabled by default on co-op. Third, I’m pretty sure that 2x cash functioning with banana farms was somewhat unintentional, since in all other renditions of the game, that has not been the case. I have done so myself, in case you’re curious. Everything such as monkey money, medals, powers and whatnot can be amassed without the use of any IAPs. The option is available to buy 2x cash, but like I said, and like the devs have previously stated, the game is designed/balanced for people who don’t use that specific IAP. They might and can, but it’s not something you or I or anyone else here can simply directly change on a whim. Second, it’s not wrong, since there isn’t anything we can do or say that guarantees they’ll do something. Since the spectrum was so comically spread apart, they had to bring it to a common yet reasonable place. With double cash, you were rolling in cash and were able to get round 35 temples. Without double cash, the game was fairly tough and required careful strategy. It has been stated that the reasons for why the changes I described, were because of the balance being way off. How is it silly? I’d genuinely like to know. They'll demand partial refunds, shame the developers for their "horrible decisions", and boycot the game.) (Also permanently lowering the price would make a lot of people upset - those who bought at full price for the tool itself without a thought of supporting the developers. I've been with the series for a long time and have contributed nothing other than buying BTD5 and BTD6, figured I could shell out a little more to support and get a handy grinding tool. ![]()
